Trattoria in a small village below the Gran Sasso. By reservation only, family run. Without any pretense but completely local food with exclusively homemade pasta. You can choose the four/five types of pasta and then they give you a choice of sauces to match. Ravioli also good, fresh, prices more than honest, three euros a side dish is fine. Typical Abruzzo cuisine. It's not refined or refined but if you're hungry, eat and then go home, it's fine. Free Wifi service otherwise it won't pick up the phone

"Time stopped at Marcocci's".
Rustic, family-run trattoria from times past, a must-try if you're in the area.
I stumbled upon it by chance and, as often happens, chance gives me absurd and wonderful experiences like this.
Upon entering it is not clear that it is a trattoria as there is only the bar counter, but in the room on the left the true world of Marcoccia opens up made up of fregnacce, fettuccine, gnocchi, oforatelle, kebabs, lamb and so on and so forth put some.
Truly an authentic evening, where the flavor of Abruzzo tradition is alive and present in the venue and in the dishes.

Una piccola sala con pochi posti all' interno di un piccolo bar di paese. Un posto dove il passato supera il presente. Personale educato e gentile, un posto dove si respira genuinità (difficile da trovare in questo periodo).
Menù vario ma tutto ciò che si sceglie è buono e fatto con cura, porzioni abbondanti.
Consigliato a chi, e per chi, voglia vivere un esperienza nel cuore dell'Abruzzo.
