Found by chance, after a forced detour from Fonte Cerreto towards Campo Imperatore, along a narrow but well-paved road that leads to Filetto, a small and charming village on the slopes of the Gran Sasso. Here, you'll find Bar Trattoria Marcocci, an authentic and sincere Abruzzese trattoria from another era. Authentic peasant cuisine arrives at the table, the kind that exudes tradition and is increasingly rare: typical dishes, full flavors, genuine ingredients, and generous portions. Excellent quality and a surprising value. A place that warms the heart and stomach, the kind you'd recommend only to friends. Perfect for those touring the Gran Sasso and Campo Imperatore, an ideal destination for motorcyclists 🏍️: it's definitely worth the trip, even just to eat here.

A simple restaurant, the food is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Service isn't particularly fast, but that's justified by the fact that everything is freshly prepared.

I usually search on maps for unusual places that, unfortunately, aren't what they seem these days. Well, this was an exceptional find, incredible prices, and amazing quality... if you're passing through Gran Sasso, instead of taking the highway, stop in Filetto (turn off left after Camarda, easy to get to). This is a place worth a visit, as its ambiance, food, and prices are increasingly rare.

Good food with home cooking and inexpensive

Excellent food, prepared in the classic, old-fashioned way. Decent portions, but don't order the ravioli alone, you'll starve.

A perfect trattoria for sampling traditional dishes with unique flavors. The arrosticini are top-notch, of course, considering it's in Abruzzo. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and highly recommended to anyone passing through.
