Maybe the location isn't the latest fashion but the cuisine is truly top!!! Super affordable prices! We will definitely be back soon for an encore and to try other dishes!

Informal but clean and tidy environment. Excellent traditional food from Reggio Emilia. Rice bomb absolutely worth trying (it is not necessary to book it, at least that was the case in summer). Quick service and very friendly staff. It would be better to have the menu at hand to choose the courses more calmly and know the prices. Final price however very competitive, first second Lambrusco sweet water coffee approximately 28 euros per person. The location is not very convenient to reach by car especially to return after a sumptuous lunch but the hilly setting is pleasant. A summer terrace would be needed...

During our Vacation in the area our host recommended this Trattoria and made a reservation for us.
We had an awesome dinner menu. The waitress was really nice, explained all available dishes to us and made sure we had everything.
They even took care of one gluten free menu.
We tried the lamb meet, a regional specialty, that we loved.
Their house liquor should not be missed.
A restaurant with great service, awesome food, an old homie atmosphere and good prices.

Gianni's daughter, continues the tradition of the father, is certainly the best place to enjoy the rice bomb, especially since Libero (and his wife Bruna) have ceased business in Casteldaldo. This extraordinary, delicate, fragrant rice bomb is worth the trip, a mystical apotheosis with porcini mushroom ragù in the heart. Of course you won't only find this, we are in the typical area, so I recommend you try the sheep's barzigole, you will be thrilled. Further advice is absolute punctuality, arrive exactly at the agreed time, otherwise the bomb rice overcooks, necessarily having to stay warm

The rice bomb is a house specialty but must be booked but the other dishes are tasty and delicious from the first courses to the second courses up to the desserts, wines and bitters, all excellent at an affordable price. In a somewhat spartan environment but it doesn't matter if kindness and goodness are at home here.
We will definitely return.
