Bar Torrital In Milano

It's like getting out of your DeLorean and going for a toasted sandwich in the '80s. The atmosphere is that kind of thing, you feel bigger than you already are, because you used to come to a bar like this as a kid, when all you could buy was a citron and some candy. Today, you sit down, chat with the owner, and you realize that substance always outweighs appearance. I don't know how many bars can offer a toasted sandwich filled with homemade eggplant at a more than fair price.

After lunch or an aperitif in the area, you MUST stop by Idio. You'll enter another world: a relaxed atmosphere, genuine Tuscan owners with a direct and kind spirit, low prices, and excellent company. A unique little corner of Milan, not to be missed.

Idio, the owner, is a born comedian and an excellent bartender. He and the bar are a true Milanese institution. He's been open and running it since '64. Negronis with an incredible history.
