08/03/2026: Excellent food, breathtaking views, friendly people. A lovely walk from the village below, both in winter and summer.

18/02/2026: I reached it via the well-groomed forest road, taking an hour's walk uphill (steep). The walk was in the silence of the forest. Once I arrived, I didn't want to leave: the view was wonderful, the owner was friendly, the waitress was kind, and the menu was traditional and authentic. I ate excellent polenta and frigo. I descended via the path, which seemed much less steep. It's not very well-traveled, so crampons were fine for me because the snow was icy. I dream of staying overnight at Monte Ferro one day.
