We stopped for a drink after visiting the Mercato del Pesce al Minuto which is about 100 meters away. Drinks were cheap by Venice standards, 12€ for two glasses of wine. Friendly service.

Hot day. Desperate for a drink. But it’s expensive. Not a great sight or smell next to the fish market. Maybe one to avoid.

Palazzo Grassi cafe

13/08/2024: This is why you sometimes have to experience things first hand. There are a decent amount of negative reviews. This is a positive review. 4 of us sat for cappuccinos, one of us got a breakfast: ham, cheese, eggs, bread. Cappuccinos were made delicately, ratio was spot on, fresh pour, milk not scalded and perfectly frothed and creamed. Dish was nothing intricate or complex, but everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall very pleased with our quick stop for a pick me up.
