Bar San Callisto is a casual street bar located in Trastevere. This bar visit was unexpectedly one of our highlights during our trip to Rome. They offer cheap takeaway drinks, It’s got a great atmosphere on the street outside and was busy up until 2AM.

A very nice place to visit in Trastevere. But you have to be there early if you're gonna have breakfast. The fabulous Maritozzi was long gone at 10 in the morning.

12/04/2026: €3 for this… incredibile and great choices of flavour!!!!
11/04/2026: Truly one of the best ice cream shops in Rome. Not yet overly gentrified, the ice cream is fantastic; I especially recommend the Fior d'Arancia. The owner is also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. If there were more than five stars, I would award them wholeheartedly.

Al Grappolo d'Oro

26/04/2026: We were there yesterday the lady that served us was very polite and nice and gave us Bread as complemntry from the house. But when we paid the bill the old man cashier charge us 5 Euro and when we asked why !? He said 5 Euro is for napkins. But on bill is written 5 Euro Pene means Bread. Be careful.
21/03/2026: An old-school restaurant, excellent and definitely not touristy. We had two pasta dishes, both very good. Then they recommended two desserts, and I have to say, they were delicious. Excellent service!
