I stopped at Bar San Calisto on my first day in Rome. I had a double espresso at the counter. It was delicious, and the service was fantastic.

Went here for gelato in Rome, was very cheap (I think 1 euro for a small). It was the best gelato I tried in Rome. They also had aperol spritz on tap which was delicious. Was a very fun vibe and neighbourhood later in the evening, was fun for my friends and I looking to meet people and have a fun evening in Rome.

Calisto was a great choice, everything was delicious. We had octopus with beans, a strange endive salad and grilled meat, with dessert for just €60.

I preferred it before the renovation. It was truly original. However, they've kept the prices very low. A two-flavor ice cream is €1. A small coffee granita with cream is €1! A 66-ounce Peroni is €2.80.

The best gelato I've ever had! You can tell it's high quality and homemade, and the prices are incredible! I'll be back every time I go. It's worth it, and the beers are cold and reasonably priced. It's a shame they close early; I was there on a Friday and Saturday, and they closed at 11 pm. They don't serve tapas or food; it's just a place to drink and enjoy gelato.

What made the experience even more special was the owner, who was incredibly friendly and even played some guitar for us, creating a truly unique and memorable moment. It’s a simple place, but with a lot of heart – I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a real, local dining experience

12/06/2026: I stayed at the beach with friends who have been frequenting it for a long time. Then, around 1:00 PM, I was feeling peckish and decided on spaghetti with seafood or clams. From there, a riot of delicacies awaited, all at a fair price, with excellent service. I'll definitely be back.
02/06/2026: We celebrated a communion in May and had a truly wonderful time. Indoor parking, sea view, excellent food, and good service. The helpful staff accommodated all our requests. Highly recommended.
