Arancine were great, best ones we had in Palermo! Also lots of locals coming here. Only problem is that the location is not great, a little walk away from the beautiful center.

This bar on Via Onorato, in the Corso Caltafimi area near the Albergo delle Povere, is known throughout Palermo, especially for its arancini, "carne" (stuffed meatballs), and arancini with butter. They also serve freshly made panelle and crocche. The pastries are also good. Definitely worth a try.

Convinced by the reviews we went for breakfast. Sweet counter to devour with your eyes... We took two cannoli (enormous), a Genovese with cream, 2 juices and 2 cappuccinos for about 16 euros... I would say that even at the prices everything was perfect! To try again and again!!!

11/01/2026: The atmosphere is simple and tidy. The lady who took our order was welcoming and open to conversation, as was the gentleman who served us, which is always a plus. We were also pleased with the food, both the caponata and calamata with eggplant, the truly spectacular Palermitan-style bone-in steak, and finally the cannoli, a must-try in Piana. Highly recommended.
08/01/2026: "A hidden gem! We stopped here on our way to Palermo and it was a truly 5-star experience. We ordered the Tagliatelle alla Campagnola and the Agnello alla Brace (roasted lamb), everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The local bread and house red wine were also fantastic. We finished with a cannoli, which was a must. We were served by the owners (a very friendly couple) and, as we were the only customers, the service was excellent and the atmosphere very peaceful. Highly recommended if you're passing through Piana degli Albanesi!"
