Every time I come back to Rome I have to go there to have a mont blanc (meringue with chestnut cream and sweet whipped cream) a real treat.

I'm under pressure from morning to night because the mechanism for ordering, serving and bringing food to the table is one of the most chaotic in Rome. You bump into everyone and everyone bumps into you, you're always on the wrong side of the counter, the table is always buried with relics of previous drinks, they make you sweat the tray as if it were made of intertwined rolexes and when you finally manage to get it you have to cross the flow pedestrian area of Viale Libia which is more or less the running of the bulls in Pamplona, you just have to hope that no one will gore your cappuccino.
You come out post-traumatic if you spend twenty minutes a month there eating the best meal of your life, imagine how friendly they welcome you as they are there every day of the year from dawn to midnight.

THE ICE CREAM MAKER PASTRY CHEF KING OF ICE CREAM AND PASTRY IN THE TRIESTE DISTRICT
It is a long history, that of the Romoli bar, initially with its founder who distributed his delicious cones or cups in a small shop with a single entrance. Even then his bar, which closed late at night, was promoting a "movida" ante litteram.
After leaving the scene, his daughters expanded and made the place luxurious, adding to the ice cream parlor a rich and well-stocked pastry shop, which for connoisseurs does not fear competition from the nearby "Marinari", a few meters away. Thus, over the decades, Romoli has defeated the competition, from the large "Bar Hawaii" in Piazza Sant'Emerenziana to a nearby small shop that produced exquisite artisanal ice creams, but which was soon forced to close.
Today Romoli, which remains closed on Mondays, is still the protagonist of the "nightlife" of the neighborhood, and not only that, it has also become very consumerist and expensive: it is always well in advance in celebrating, with its decorations scattered everywhere, the great holidays of the 'year.
In the morning it opens at six, and at breakfast,
offers customers unattainable fried donuts. From after Christmas until the feast of St. Joseph he produces cream puffs and expensive, large zeppole footed cherry jam.
Rustic production (sandwiches) is quite scarce.

Much deteriorated compared to the past both in terms of quality and service. Had a coffee granita with large pieces of ice, very bitter coffee, dirty table. Maybe now only the croissants are saved

Speaking of hot croissants, beautiful even just to look at, I only say one thing, I WILL DO IT (the next evening I ate even better). I went there specifically for this, one bite is enough and you can't leave, you risk addiction.

Ho mangiato da poco una fetta di pastiera e devo dire da napoletana era veramente squisita.. bagnata canditi forse niente.grano setaccio fine ..cmq l'ho gustata tantissimo e ringrazio la signora gentilmente che me l'ha proposta..nn l avevo mangiata x Pasqua e da quando ho avuto una malattia inaspettata mi è passata la voglia di farla a casa .mi manca l entusiasmo anche perché mio marito nn la gradisce. La dovrei fare solo x me . invece vai da Romoli è sempre una garanzia x la qualità x il palato..x tutto..
