What a fantastic experience at Tommasina in Capannuccia, near Grassina! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the polpettine in tegame con melanzane al forno e crema di gorgonzola — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite tasted homemade and full of authentic Tuscan character. The local white wine was magnificent — fresh, elegant, and the perfect pairing for the meal. You can really tell they value quality and local production. They also offer artisanal products and carefully source local food and wine. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming — it truly feels like a lovely family-run business. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a heartfelt atmosphere.

Last weekend, thanks in part to social media posts, we made a reservation for eight. It was a chance for us to get together, and the place enhanced the experience. Great atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and truly delicious pizza! The all-you-can-eat pizza option was very popular. We'll definitely be back!

We came back because we liked it. A family-friendly atmosphere for lunch with local workers. Families and groups of friends, large tables to share a good time together. Both the quality and quantity of the daily specials were excellent, truly hard to find elsewhere.

28/02/2026: I happened upon a sandwich here, and I must say it wasn't a bad experience. You can choose from a variety of burgers, including the classic hamburger bun or create your own, choosing from a wide variety of ingredients. The quality didn't seem bad.
24/02/2026: Jimena is lovely; she gave us excellent service and informed us about the gluten-free options. They are careful to prevent cross-contamination. The potatoes were delicious.

22/03/2026: Cozy little restaurant, exceptional staff, not to mention the food!!! Sublime dishes 😍🤤😍 the gnocchi on pecorino fondue, 110 with honors 💪😍💪😍 the stew melted in your mouth... We will definitely be back... I highly recommend it.

It features two main rooms, a small private area, and an outdoor area adjacent to the main road in the summer. The interior is decorated in a rustic, welcoming, and warm Tuscan style. Food: The menu features both seafood and meat dishes (though not predictable), but the pizza is my favorite. It's well-risen and easy to digest. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty and innovative options, often based on seasonal ingredients. A staple in several courses is the bardiccio, a typical local sausage, flavorful and definitely worth trying. Service: Courteous, punctual, and helpful. In summary: My wife and I often frequent Bastian Contrario for the excellent variety of pizzas they offer, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the attention to ingredients, and the beer pairings.
