Bar pilar In

I was passing through Albisola Superiore with my partner and we stopped, drawn by the quaint, quiet location and interesting menu. Fried calamari (light and flavorful) with fries + seared tuna with caramelized onions, all delicious and in generous quantities. The coffee was also good 😉 Excellent value for money... and excellent background music! Finally (but without taking away from this point), all the staff are friendly and super welcoming. If we ever pass through the area again, we'll gladly return! See you soon ❤️

A truly interesting bar-restaurant, located in a lovely little square just off the Artists' Walk on the Albisola Mare seafront. The staff were extremely friendly; we needed a quick lunch at 12:00 due to our son's sports commitment, and despite the 12:30 opening time, they accommodated us. The interior dining room is very charming, offering meat and fish dishes, no frills but meticulously prepared using excellent ingredients. Three truly skilled chefs work in the kitchen... kudos to the women! There were three of us, and we ordered two first courses: porcini mushroom ravioli topped with prawns and artichokes, mezze maniche with fresh tuna and cherry tomatoes, and fried calamari. Desserts included tiramisu and tart, water and coffee, and we spent €20 each (coffee included!). If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back for a more leisurely lunch. Well done!!!

Simple for something in a hurry

The new management is fantastic, the dishes are always varied and delicious. Hospitality and kindness come first. Highly recommended!

Pilar is a historic place, especially for those who frequented it in the 1990s and early 2000s. The current management is doing very well, offering a bar and aperitifs. Now you can also eat there. Excellent dinner, simple but very well-prepared and tasty dishes. Worth a try.

Delicious ice cream on the Albissola promenade

Excellent bar and restaurant service with limited but always very satisfying menus. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful.
