Small bar but with enough seating. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, excellent desserts and honest prices. What can I say? When I return to Florence for breakfast I know where to go to have it.

Went for a breakfast pastry and coffee. It is open on Sunday which was a bonus. Delicious pastries, great coffee. Fair price.

Bar Pasticceria Piccioli Bar Piccioli. The croissant I ordered with citrus-based marmalade had a good texture and was delicious. Sweet, but not just sweet, deliciously sweet(?) The espresso taste was good too. Overall, it seems like a place that is good at baking. When I asked, there was no additional charge even if I sat down to eat. The bathroom is inside the bar. We came to this place as it was recommend by a local guide. We ordered one cappuccino, one espresso and three pastries: brioche al pistacchio, a sort-of pain au chocolate and a puff pastry with two layers and cream inside. All were delicious. Service was quick - and in spite of not having a place to seat because the place was full - we enjoyed our breakfast at the counter.

Got a maritozzo today for €3. Not sure if it’s tourist price or normal. Plenty of locals that go there in the afternoon for a quick coffee or snack. Nothing out of the ordinary, service was fine - casually aloof.

Excellent historic pastry bar in via Borgo Ognissanti. Welcoming environment although the entrance where the sweets, cash register and savory counter is located as well as that of the cafeteria is a little narrow, it recovers with the following ladder. Friendly and fast staff.

Beautiful but really very small environment, quick service given the quantity of people (retreats to the counter independently) and both the pasta and the cappuccino were very good. Excellent prices.

09/12/2024: This is a truly wonderful little place, located just outside of central Florence but well worth going out of your way to visit. They specialise in piadina, a traditional Florentine flatbread sandwich. The sandwich is something special. There's a large selection of both sweet and savoury available on the menu and everything is made fresh to order. I've never eaten a sandwich quite like this; the bread is soft but firm, the ingredients and flavours balanced perfectly to surprise and bring joy with every bite. The service was so polite and friendly too. We were in Florence for four nights and we went here for three of those four, which tells you everything.
06/12/2024: Off the beaten track, but truly worth it. Absolutely delicious, the loveliest staff possible and the most satisfying meal.

Caffetteria Piansa

08/12/2024: After a sabbatical or Covid time I resume my food journey starting from a place where the atmosphere relaxes and lets time pass. The scent of freshly ground coffee entangled in the gloomy day sharpens the ears which warmly welcome the music of times gone by. Now that my senses have awakened from their torpor, I can taste the extract of distant countries...
30/11/2024: I'm not often in the area, but I don't like stopping here even just for a coffee. Although I love their desserts. Friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere!
