Traditional Lucchese cuisine, the kind that reminds you of "grandma's cooking"! A rustic yet very characteristic atmosphere, with an outdoor veranda and a stunning view, where you can see all of Lucca from above. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is fast.

Very genuine restaurant with very good service. Feels like you are welcomed in someone’s home. The food and wine is local to the region. Beautiful view from the garden. We had three courses each, had local wine and payed about 30 € each. You can pay with card.

A charming Osteria in Mataia Colle. A fair drive uphill leads to an Osteria with a unique atmosphere and personal service. The pasta is homemade. The menu changes daily. Reservations are recommended. Parking is around the corner, about 40 meters away.

It is a simple and familiar place. I have been there twice because I was really satisfied. The traditional cuisine is of excellent quality, with a particular note of value for the pleasant and talented use of spices, thyme and wild mint above all. When I find places like this I am always tempted not to advertise them so that they remain unnoticed and maintain their peculiarities but this appreciation really deserves to be shared. Beautiful view from the terrace.
