Bar Osteria Il Bargello In Siena

I had a pleasant evening but there are some details that definitely need to be reviewed: if I see photos on the Internet of various platings, maybe I choose the place also because I am attracted by that image of a dish, as they say "first you eat with your eyes" so I expect to receive the same treatment as everyone else... but it was absolutely not like that (photos follow to make it clear). Nothing spectacular about the cold cuts, served on a flat plate as anyone would prepare it at home, Tartare served in the same way. Paccheri cacio e pepe good, Rigatoni all'Amatriciana definitely needs to be reviewed, rubbery bacon and sauce that tasted too much of onion (which I didn't expect to find in an Amatriciana). "Chalice" of red, which despite being the bare minimum, was perhaps the thing I appreciated the most. For how much I paid, which for goodness sake is average in Siena, I expected something more. I definitely had higher expectations, maybe it was the wrong evening.

Well-kept and organized place and environment, with a wide selection of quality wines and good local food. The staff that works is very helpful and kind. Also recommended for the location a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo and the Duomo.

Cute place, food good, but the service isnt great. The waitress was ignoring us, very unprofessional. It was 36⁰ outside, we ordered sparkling white wine and were waiting 30 min for a bucket of ice or a sleeve to keep the wine cold and when she finally brought it, she said we should drink faster..

Everything was delicious, the staff were friendly, the only thing was that you couldn't order things off the menu (like a cutlet, French fries,) only food from the menu.

Brilliant wine bar just off the Piazza del Campo. Small outdoor seating area across the way which was pre-reserved. Was a perfect venue for pre wedding evening drinks and canapes for around 40. Highly recommend. Staff friendly and helpful.

The pesto gnocchi and the Italian sausage ragu sauce are very good.

Bruschetta is good. Wine didn’t convince me on the price point.

Trovato per caso mentre eravamo in giro per la bellissima Siena e molto affamati ( appena arrivati per il ponte del 25 Aprile ). Che dire, un posto carino e con una bella atmosfera, personale garbato e molto cortese. Il cibo di ottima qualità, ma sarà stata la fame a noi e’ sembrato fosse di scarsa quantità. Il tagliere piuttosto striminzito, ottimi la trippa alla fiorentina e il tonno del Chianti, delizioso il dessert, ma alla fine ci è rimasta ancora un po’ di fame… e dire che il conto non è stato proprio modico.

Locale molto carino e ben curato in centro storico a Siena. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene, servizio veloce e personale molto gentile. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio
