A hidden pearl in the Villa Spada neighborhood of Rome. Right where you don't expect it, this little neighborhood bar with surprising cuisine is located. Thanks to the cook who, however, from fresh news, seems to have flown to other shores... too bad. Because it's not every day that you eat "restaurant-style" food in what, all things considered, isn't even a trattoria, with an environment that to define as spartan is an understatement, and a decidedly "unlucky" location (of course, either you go there on purpose or you don't get there). Trust him, it's really worth a visit.

A Rota - Pizzeria Romanesca

22/02/2025: A wonderful experience that met our expectations! We had read many positive reviews about this pizzeria and it is indeed truly excellent. The atmosphere is very comfortable despite the fact that there are many people inside. The place is simple and traditional, just like it used to be. We found the service quick and excellent, the waiter very nice and friendly. Delicious appetizers (we had a supplì and a focaccia with excellent quality raw ham) and also pizzas are all exquisite. There is a wide choice both for traditional ones and for those with more particular ingredients and with a different taste than usual. In short, it really satisfies all tastes! We were also satisfied with the price, a perfect quality-price ratio.
19/02/2025: The friendly welcome begins with the booking. The environment is a good imitation of the pizzerias of the past. Both the presentation and the flavor of the crunchy pizzas are good.

09/02/2025: This place is now part of the family. It's the first thing we think about when we have to have lunch out for an event or not. The food is always good and has maintained its standards for years. What they could improve is certainly the interior of the restaurant: a restyling wouldn't hurt.
