24/09/2024: I went to this restaurant for a family lunch of 14 people.
Let me start by saying that, having a celiac child in the family, we went above all for her and for the reviews we found on Google.
The restaurant presents itself well aesthetically and above all in terms of food and wine. Varied and interesting wine list. The cuisine is really excellent.
I personally took the seafood and mushroom tasting menu at €55 per person with 3 appetizers included, a first course, a second course and a dessert. They also give a welcome entrée which was much appreciated. All dishes were an excellent dining experience!!
In my opinion they got lost in the table service. I have been in the restaurant business for 15 years and I come from a family of restaurateurs having owned a farmhouse for 20 years so I know the timing of dishes and the world of room service very well. Let me start by saying that there were two girls and what I believe is the owner serving, on average 40 people seated and for the table service that that place should offer it is very few.
Given the power of the kitchen and the price per person spent, the expectations for excellent table service were obviously high.
There were various inappropriate situations, especially at the beginning of the meal, starting with the wine, he took two bottles of white and a glass of red wine. The glass was requested twice because it was forgotten and the appetizers on 14 people at the table (5 tasting menus therefore identical appetizers, 1 fried dish, 4 seafood salads and a mountain appetizer) the mountain appetizer consisting of cold cuts was requested 4 times times after all of us had almost finished ours so the table had not been closed since in the meantime they were also serving others.
Usually if there are 14 people at a table, the dishes are brought out for everyone, closing the table and moving on.
But this wasn't even the negative thing about the lunch but the various answers given with arrogance by the owner both as regards the small various errors (which one could easily ignore if appropriate answers had been given in different ways) and both when during the bill we pointed it out again.
I am absolutely not saying that the customer must always be right or that different views cannot be had but rather responding with arrogance, not apologizing for some errors visible to all and just wanting to be right, with a table of 14 people (hoping that the customer can come back) and above all that he was spending a considerable amount of money, I don't know how much positive he could have brought to the property in the future.
After these episodes the rest of the lunch went well, the other two girls were friendly and professional, also understanding that they found themselves doing that type of service in the dining room alone.
I repeat that the cuisine was truly excellent but for that type of catering you need equally excellent management in the dining room.
29/07/2024: Excellent restaurant where we have always been happy to return for more than twenty years. Exquisite dishes (among the starters we recommend the "percorso"), very kind owners and staff very attentive to detail. Fresh and genuine products prepared with passion! A place for those who love refined cuisine and a beautiful environment. Highly recommended!
