13/10/2025: We arrived a little late for lunch and asked if there was room. The waitress told us we could get in line: the place was full, and a couple was already waiting ahead of us. After about ten minutes, they seated us, and as soon as we were seated, they informed us that the kitchen had just closed and they could only serve us platters.
We accepted, more out of hunger than anything else, even though we had come specifically to try the polenta of the day. The platters were generous and made with quality ingredients, but the price (€77 for two with a water) seemed a bit high.
Overall, a decent experience, but it would have been more appropriate to let us know right away that the kitchen was already closed.
13/10/2025: Located in Orta's main square, it has a large deli counter stocked with cured meats, cheeses, and much more. The dishes are generous and well-crafted, unique but delicious, and also offer excellent value for money, especially considering the location. Inside, the dining room is quite small, but welcoming and stylish. Their outdoor ice cream parlor, also in the square, is also very good.
