I’ve been coming to Bologna for years, and every single time, this restaurant is an absolute must. It wouldn’t feel like a trip to Bologna without coming here. Mirko is the best! Recommends the most incredible dishes and drinks in the city!

Il Calice is a cozy spot in a fantastic location, and it’s always a must-visit for me when I’m in Bologna. The food is consistently excellent—especially the tagliatelle al ragù and the lasagna, which never disappoint. Whether you sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is charming and perfect for enjoying great food and drinks. The staff is attentive and welcoming, with a special mention to Mirko, who is incredibly kind and helpful. His wine recommendations are always spot on. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely keep coming back.

I stumbled across this place by chance, and the inviting atmosphere of the bar caught my eye from the outside. The next day I decided to go, and it was a great choice. A peaceful spot to enjoy a glass of wine and a simple bite like bruschetta. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth, professionalism, and excellent service of the bartender. He definitely makes the place special. And the music was perfectly chosen to complement the experience. :)

Small, cosy restaurant with lovely family atmosphere. The food was delicious- relatively simple traditional dishes, lovingly prepared, generous portions. Particularly appreciated good choice of dishes that were not overwhelmingly rich. Friendly and caring service. Decor a bit worn but very clean and comfortable. Would happily go back if our stay were longer.
