It's the classic little suburban bar, discovered by chance but I've always been happy to go back for years.
Lorena's new management has brought several new dishes but has maintained those of the old management: a winning move because the sandwich with raw ham is excellent (be careful that on Sundays the bread is defrosted and reheated and you can taste it). Very honest prices. Highly recommended.

The ambience has a somewhat coarse, not to say morbid, charm. The Italian regular audience consists of the 70+ generation and a few young people who go for a beer. There are snacks, dolci, ice cream, coffee specialties, draft and bottled beer, as well as Prosecco, by the glass or in a liter carafe. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly and quick to serve.
There is a guest garden that is separated from the street with wild wine. There is a second garden behind the restaurant. The furniture in the restaurant is a bit old, but was probably built to last and, together with the slot machines, adds to the atmosphere.
We have been here several times on our hikes and we always liked it.

We went to Napoleonica way for walking and discovery of this typical Italian cafe was very pleasant surprise. Next time we will have even more motivation to walk from Opichina about 1.5 hours, to visit this cafe again!

Ha cambiato gestione, sullo scontrino leggo da Lorena, ma per ora sembra tutto come prima, stessi piatti e stessa atmosfera di un posto semplice frequentato da quelli del borgo e da quei tanti passegiatori che a fine o metà della Napoleonica si fermano a prendere un piatto di affettati o un crema carsolina. Per l'estate hanno aggiunto due piatti uno con i pomodorini e un il polpo. Unica nota, il pane prima era più morbido, meno gommoso, ma non mi stupisco di sti tempi anche i fornai chiudoni a causa dei super con il decongelato o dei fornai SLO. Spero non sparisca il cotto con il cren, che è uno dei piatti migliori della cucina Triestina...ma ieri era caldo per chiederlo. Buon lavoro alla nuova giovane gestione che porta avanti l'attività, altrimenti spariva un altro posto a noi caro.
