I returned after many years for an aperitif, I found a welcoming environment and good service. The food and cocktails were also good

Bar Gianicolo – Postcard view, shame about the rest Sitting at the outdoor tables of the Bar Gianicolo is a small luxury. Too bad the dream ends as soon as the menu arrives... or the waiter, when he arrives. The food? Let's say it makes you miss the service station machines. Anonymous sandwiches and prices that seem designed for those who "won't come back anyway". The service? Distracted, listless, as if it were a nuisance to serve. A wasted opportunity in one of the most beautiful areas of the city. It wouldn't take much: an extra smile, a decent sandwich and a minimum of care to really make a difference. Because the Janiculum deserves much more.

Baretto al Gianicolo in a fantastic location. Very kind and welcoming. Always a meeting point. A place of the heart for the old Monteverdians from which to depart for walks to the Gianicolo, Fontanile, San Pietro in Montorio.

Coffee or aperitif or lunch on the go before embarking on your city tour. We went there for coffee before visiting Burattini and Cannone. Historic bar in Rome ☆

A point of reference in the center for over 30 years

I am writing this review because I absolutely want to rectify what was previously written by accepting the owner's invitation to return...evidently that day will have been a single bad day because for almost a year we have consistently had lunch in this place every week, considered as family members.... Excellent and delicious food for all tastes and kindness and hospitality in abundance, it is worth passing by and stopping for a snack or an aperitif or as in our case a family lunch!!!!!!
