Bar Foscarini In Venezia

The key here is the view from the terrace, with the beautiful Ponte dell’Academia on one side, whilst looking down the Grand Canal towards the domes of Basilica Santa Maria della Salute on the other. Food is fine, prices reflect the location, and service is efficient if not overly friendly: but they are accommodating if a better table becomes available whilst you’re seated and you want to hop over to it. If you just want a drink, especially, you’ll do well to find a better view in Venice without paying silly money for it. We went 3 times in 3 days for that view.

We had some drinks, the terrace is nice and the view too. Leto is excessive, a gin and tonic not well prepared 25€ Bombay sold as premium... the waiters were friendly but the place was overpriced, although the view was beautiful.

A bar for drinks rather than food. Tables are not cleaned after previous guests, traces of food are visible on the tablecloths.

Great food with a view, but be mindful of special requests. The dishes were well-prepared and tasty, but if you request a vegan salad, double-check as they might still add eggs. Overall, a good experience with minor inconveniences.
