My child and I stopped by chance for a quick matcha and cake. We sat outside and were served by a very friendly and positive young guy with curly hair and glasses who spoke English. The matcha was top notch and exceeded expectations. The service was very professional and welcoming. We recommend

We've had expensive drinks at nicer places in Trieste, and the price was only 10 euros, considering the bar doesn't have a special atmosphere or a view of the city.

We took refuge in this restaurant due to heavy rain, and it turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck. The only less-than-great thing was the restroom, due to the building's structure. We can only thank you for the great service and very friendly staff.

I visit this bar regularly, and have no complaints. Morning, day and night, the waitresses are so friendly and accommodating. Recently I have enjoyed their addition on the menu of iced coffees in this heat. I have no faults with their cocktails and aperitifs, especially as there is always an abundance of snacks to enjoy with an aperol, Hugo or the new custom spritz flavours, while taking in the bustling street. I’ll always return time and time again, couldn’t recommend more to locals and tourists asking for local tips.

Great coffee shop in the center of Trieste. Delicious pastries and patisserie, and the espresso is excellent! Definitely worth a visit! Warning: Outhouse!

Espressamente Illy

18/02/2026: Today I stopped by this delightful downtown café with a friend and my almost one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. The entire staff was incredibly kind. I was busy making an important phone call, and my friend was playing with her to distract her daughter, and of course, the little girl made the usual racket they do at that age. Well, with a huge smile and a lot of serenity, they reassured me when I apologized for the mess, and they even interacted with the little girl with such joy. They gave me a much-needed moment of joy. We'll definitely be back, just a little less noisy (I promise). A very sweet girl at the counter even earned a flying kiss from my daughter, who never gives one so easily, and that filled my heart. We only had two coffees, but we took away a small, simple, and beautiful moment of joy. Thank you so much to all the staff and congratulations on the wonderful atmosphere you create together!
05/01/2026: Coffee is good but there is no changing table for babies even though there is enough space in the toilet. Also the music was too loud.
