A pastry shop/deli. The cannoli are very good. What left me perplexed was that a bottle of water for breakfast cost €0.50, while for lunch it was €1.50.

Best cannoli I've had in my life! they make them fresh! Ricotta Siciliana style, the locals say this is the best one on Ortiga island and they are right!! Nice spot overlooking markets and Apollo temple

From the outside it looked like something completely different, mediocre quality, questionable service, friendliness is definitely not their prerogative, very cold and at times rude service, very dirty bathrooms, I don't feel like recommending it.

The legendary almond granita with brioche is superb. Bar Cristina is known in Syracuse for its delicious breakfasts, from ricotta puff pastries to chocolate croissants to arancini. The only downside is the service, which sometimes leaves something to be desired, but perhaps the charm lies in the spartan staff.

24/07/2025: I ordered pizzas by phone for 8:15 PM, but I arrived late. The girl at the counter pointed this out to me (which would have been my problem anyway), and she told me they were in the oven, but they actually started making them when they arrived. Moral of the story: pizzas in hand from 8:15 PM until 9:00 PM.
