The dishes are refined, and the service is discreet and warm. The only slight drawback is that the portions are a little light, so consider the set menu if you have an appetite.

From the appetizer to the dessert, the food was simply divine. I've rarely eaten as well as I did tonight. The waitress explained the composition of the dishes and how they were prepared – fantastic! A taste experience/explosion from the very first bite. Simply delicious!

La Taverna del Metallo

23/05/2025: I stayed in one of the rooms upstairs and made a reservation to the tavern twice during my three night stay (it was so good that we had to go back). They service was awesome, we never had a problem making a reservation, and the food and beer were delicious. It's the best restaurant the area. The others look too touristy or not of good quality. This place sells some great food and the beer selection is one of the best I've seen. Beware, most of their menu is pork/pig options, although I do not eat pork products I was able to walk away from that restaurant full and happy with some great options to choose from. Though this is not a place for vegans or vegetarians.
15/05/2025: In La Spezia, I discovered a unique medieval tavern with excellent food, unbeatable service, and a wide selection of beers. The atmosphere is unique, unlike anything else in the town. I'm delighted; I highly recommend it and would definitely return.
