02/11/2025: I'll start with what I didn't like about Gelsomina: the bathroom. There's no handle, just a sliding door with an iron eyelet to open and close—not exactly the most hygienic. And the six-euro maritozzi... no comment (not even in Rome!). That said, the place is undoubtedly charming. A revisited shabby-chic classic, with a gentle charm and perfectly designed to win over the hearts (and smartphones) of Instagrammers. The atmosphere is meticulously crafted, with that soft, inviting light that seems to beckon you to stay a little longer. It's a pastry shop, so it goes without saying that the food isn't the house's signature dish—although, I must admit, what I tasted was quite tempting. The portions, however, don't always match the prices. On the other hand, the mini tartines are absolutely worth trying: small, elegant, and delicious. In short, Gelsomina is perhaps not a paradise of substance, but rather of the style of those who frequent her. ✨
