Of all the places to chill before a show, this is probably one of your best bets in midtown.

Found this place from a book called Drink Like a Local, and if I didn't there is no way I would have found it. Located on a block with a ton of places to eat it is up a flight of stairs behind an umarked door. Walk in and you are greated warmly by the hostest. Sat at the bar, ordered the grilled cheese and a Gin cocktail. Bartender was very helpful with the drink selection and the grilled cheese spot on. Defitantly would recommend and look to go back.

A perfect bar to stop at before a broadway show. It has a perfect cozy ambiance and the staff is so friendly! FYI They only take reservations over the phone or in person 7 days out
