It's a strange feeling to review a hospital cafeteria. It seems surreal, perhaps inappropriate. But a hospital is a microcosm, a small city. And the cafeteria is a moment of relief, color, and flavor for hundreds of people every day. The quality of the food is excellent, as are the prices. And the crowning glory is the kindness of ALL the employees, always ready to serve with a smile, patience, and extreme speed. The fact is, sometimes—and I'll begrudge my readers—I stop by, even outside of medical needs, purely for the deliciousness of a sandwich, combined with the convenience, and above all to enjoy that increasingly rare kindness. Well done, and well done to the two "coffee makers."
