Bar Caffe la Suite In Cortina d'ampezzo

While strolling near the basilica, we were attracted to this small and stylish cafe by the street scene appeal and fun music. We only had drinks, but it was enough to thoroughly enjoy the cozy ambiance. Staff was very cheerful and attentive.

La Suite is a quiet gem tucked away off the beaten path in Cortina’s pedestrian walkway. We stopped by for a cappuccino and ended up staying for lunch. Unfortunately, my camera died, so I couldn’t take pictures of the goulash and eggplant parmigiana, but both were delicious. The service was excellent, and the bartender kindly explained the menu in English. The goulash was served in a semi-thick creamy red sauce with small potatoes and tender meat. While the portion of meat could have been a bit more for, the flavors were spot on. The eggplant parmigiana was light and delicate, with a perfectly balanced red sauce. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cortina!
