Bar Caffe' Jolly In Bologna

Love the venetto bar style. Many people by night, to be with the real Italian culture. Quality Italian cichette/tapas and food. Strongly recommend!!

Bar Jolly is a neighborhood bar that's changed a lot lately, but it's been a positive change. It used to be a popular bar with older people from the neighborhood and closed in the evenings, but now everything's different: Jolly is now packed with people of all ages, both at lunch and for aperitivo in the evening. At Jolly, you can have breakfast, lunch, and aperitivo in the evening from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. During aperitivo hours, you can enjoy Venetian cicchetti (small appetizers) in a variety of flavors, all delicious, especially the fried meatballs! The staff is always helpful, and the prices are fair, considering it's a bar frequented by locals and not located in the city center. Jolly has become an important meeting place for the Cirenaica community.

Fantastic place, exceptional atmosphere. You feel right at home. The cicchetti (similar to bruschetta with various toppings) are delicious and affordable. EVEN GLUTEN-FREE, TOP-NOTCH. You guys are great!!

The real Bologna. A super cute place for aperitivo and Venetian cicchetti at super reasonable prices. Relaxed, local atmosphere, far from mass tourism.

I'm updating my review as management has changed. The atmosphere is great, the prices are a little higher than I'd hoped, but unlike before, it's become a popular place to hang out.

Historic bar taken over by Venetian owners. They've practically transformed it into a semi-bacaro! Excellent Venetian cichetti at a good price and friendly staff.

Well done guys! We went with friends last night for an aperitivo and enjoyed the relaxed neighborhood atmosphere, the quality of the spritzes and cicchetti (Venetian-style canapés), the incredibly fair prices that almost make it feel like 2025, the friendliness of everyone, the diverse clientele, from young to old, all relaxed and eager to have a good time, the bar itself, which when you enter feels like you've stepped back into the '70s—in short, all this made us discover a new go-to place to relax and have a drink on these warm Bolognese evenings (there was even a breeze under the trees on Via Musolesi!). In these times when trendy, expensive, and unwelcoming bars are springing up like mushrooms, it's a joy to find a place that has retained its soul. I saw they also offer an osteria with some Venetian dishes; I'll definitely try it! Thanks, and keep up the good work!
