We loved this simple wine bar, with its warm soul and delicious plates of local food. Thank you to our hostess who looked after us all evening. We came just for a drink and ended up cancelling our dinner elsewhere to stay in the welcoming environment of the Barolo Bar. Thank you for the generous apéritivo snacks, excellent Vitello Tonnato and linguine with meat sauce, just what we were craving. At the end, you introduced us to Amaro di Lange and we bought a bottle to bring home! Monteforte d’Alba is the most authentic village in the Barolo area, still with an old fashioned Italian way of life and not invaded by tourism. The Barolo Bar was a perfect example of this. Grazie!

09/03/2025: When cooking becomes art. A dinner that envelops and involves all the senses: scents, colors and shapes, flavors combined with wisdom, balance and creativity, with a barely perceptible background of good music. All experienced within an important setting, a location that tells a story. More than a restaurant I would define it as an immersive experience to be savored slowly. The restaurant is located inside an ancient and important noble palace, richly frescoed and home to the famous Philharmonic. Once you cross the wooden door, you enter by climbing a staircase. The rest is all a surprise. The service is impeccable and the prices are right.
08/03/2025: Elegant restaurant, inside a period building. Sophisticated menu. The staff was very kind and well prepared on the description of the dishes, cooked with extreme care and with local products.

16/03/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday. The menu is only fixed, €40 per person with: Starter of cured meats (EXCELLENT), raw meat (EXCELLENT), goat tomini, vegetable flan with bagna cauda. A first, we found Barbera rice with sausage. Main course of veal stew with mushrooms and baked potatoes. Trio of desserts, bunet, tart and hazelnut cake, served together with a glass of sparkling wine or moscato of your choice. Included in the price is a bottle of wine of your choice produced in the area, water, coffee and cover charge. The best thing is that for each course they offer an encore and you can take as much as you want. Really good food, excellent quality, plentiful. Very kind staff, the owners often stop by to make sure everything is fine. We will be back.
12/03/2025: Highly recommended, genuine food (and you can feel it!), kindness, cleanliness and abundant dishes. Truly an excellence of the territory. Well done.
