The warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately puts us at ease.
We order the trio of appetizers, plus a shared Russian salad: all the flavors are clear and right; the freshest tomino cheese and the perfect green sauce; the cooking technique for the vitello tonnato modernizes the value of tradition, maintaining its evident quality, which begins with the raw ingredients. This adherence to tradition does not deprive us of pleasant surprises with the appearance of unexpected aromas, expertly and meticulously scattered on the serving plates, perhaps the fragrance of a tiny lavender flower...
We continue with the Scialatielli with sardines and wild fennel (and everything else you need): sumptuous, with a rich sauce that preserves the intensity of the fish's flavor, the sweet and spicy interplay is perfectly balanced.
We finish with the Baked Pumpkin, comforting and tasty.
We drank a well-balanced Barbera, chosen from the bulk wine selection.
The prices were more than fair, and the service was punctual and attentive.
An experience that combines the full pleasure of an evening with the joy of knowing, in a challenging context like Barriera, brilliant businesses like this one exist, where the awareness of know-how can overcome any challenge. Thank you for the excellent cuisine and best wishes for the future!

Finding a place in Barriera di Milano with such refined cuisine, managed in a friendly and pleasant way by her in the dining room and him in the kitchen, was a fantastic surprise. I recommend it to everyone for the warmth of the place and, above all, for the splendid cuisine, made of seemingly simple dishes but executed to perfection. I hope to return soon. Long live Baffo!

Four of us visited Baffo, and as soon as we stepped inside, we felt enveloped in the warm atmosphere of a traditional trattoria. The place is small but very welcoming, with delightful vintage decor. The waitress, very gracious, took care of us right away. All four of us chose appetizers, followed by two first courses, two second courses, and four desserts, which, despite the simplicity of the place, were served with impeccable aesthetics. Among the appetizers, all excellent, the brioche mousse deserves a special mention: I've never had anchovies in green sauce so delicious and so "assembled" in such an original way. The plin pasta with roast beef sauce and the Sardinian gnocchi with pecorino and guanciale that we ordered were also delicious. The men in our group, meanwhile, savored the veal cheek, commenting with satisfaction: "It melts in your mouth." Finally, we concluded the meal with two bonet (a type of pastry) and two berry tartlets, which were as good as the rest of the meal. The food was accompanied by an excellent house Barbera Superiore.
In conclusion: congratulations to the owner/chef for managing a trattoria of this caliber in Barriera di Milano using excellent products at fair prices. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

Caratteristica piola in zona Barriera di Milano. È un localino senza pretese ma con una identità forte, dove la memoria non è sbiadita.. Francesco mette la passione nei suoi piatti e si vede, si sente con il palato... Ci sono sapori che sanno risvegliare la nostra memoria, e qui accade... Con le acciughe cantabricco con il bagnetto verde, con il vitello tonnato, con i peperoni in bagna cauda, il tipico bonet ed il tiramisu' espresso.
Siamo venuti spinti dalla curiosità, sperando di ritrovare i sapori di un tempo e li abbiamo trovati ad accoglierci come se fossimo sempre stati li...
Gli scialatielli ai gamberi poi una delizia!
Non è solo un buon incontro con piatti buoni e ben rifiniti, è una esperienza che solo chi sa riconoscere, sa apprezzare..
In un'epoca in cui molti sanno nascondersi solo dietro le tastiere, il coraggio di Francesco di riaprire, dando voce alla sua passione, non solo è ammirevole, è raro!

Allora esistono ancora le Osterie degne di tale nome: qualità del cibo ottima, cucina curata, proprietario cortese e disponibile. Siamo capitati quasi per caso in quest’angolo verace di “barriera” e una cena squisita e a prezzi onesti ci convincerà a ritornare, anche per incoraggiare il proprietario a proseguire la sua attività di ristoratore e portare nuovi miglioramenti nel difficile mondo di quel quartiere.
