I just had lunch here and had a truly positive experience. The food was fresh, excellent quality, and carefully prepared. The staff is also a big plus: the waitresses were kind, smiling, and helpful, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A very different shop, I like it a lot because you can find everything

This isn't our first time eating here; we've tried both lunch and dinner. Overall, the quality is poor, with average prices that don't match the service. The view is the redeeming feature.

Lately, since the owners left, everything has changed. It's no longer there. It was still afloat, even though I haven't been there for a long time. Today, however, it's still sinking.

I've returned to Ancora in Chiavari, where I've always had a great experience. And paradoxically, that's why I've decided to write this short review, not so much as a criticism as a suggestion. My wife, daughter, and I sat down around 1:00 PM, immediately announcing that we wanted an aperitif. The kind waitress showed us a seat after thoroughly cleaning the table. A colleague of hers then came to take our orders: a non-alcoholic cocktail, a spritz, and a small amber beer. Only then did she inform us that since it was lunchtime, the kitchen wouldn't be able to provide us with the usual appetizers (which, incidentally, are always served impeccably - stock photo), but only two chips. Somewhat surprised, we thanked them and left. No argument, just two pieces of advice: 1) Tell them beforehand that the aperitif is suspended: customers can then decide whether or not to stay; saying it at the end isn't correct; 2) Halve the prices at lunchtime: this way, customers can decide to drink and eat some decent supermarket chips (with all due respect), but at least with a little bit of knowledge and a small discount. Too bad. See you next time. Maybe.

The girl at the tables was kind and nice, the first courses were good and so was the cheese focaccia.
