Bar Americano In Venezia

Contrary to appearances, the canneloni wasn't bad, although a bit artificial. The prices aren't bad for Venice. I don't know why it gets such bad reviews.

The food was good, but the communication behind the counter left a lot to be desired. Despite being fully booked, the staff preferred to chat with a guest rather than serve customers who had already paid. It's fine for a snack to go.

Reviewed March 15, 2024 Have a few glasses...he'll smile. We make this a stop for a couple glasses of Prosecco while strolling through Venice. Quite a few tourists come in with varied attitudes. The staff seems unshaken by all the types and mostly come off as gruff...he lightens up after a few minutes or drinks. I don't think that they are against anyone...a gruff exterior from working with tourist maybe.

We came in specifically for a drink after our tour and got exactly what we needed from this place. There are a ton of food/dessert options displayed which looked nice enough. Quick and pleasant service. If you're in the square looking for a quick refreshing drink, nice enough place to consider.

It's expensive, but the lemon gelato is delicious. I had three flavors: pistachio, lemon, and milk with chocolate pieces. The lemon flavor was the best. There were no ice cubes, and the gelato-serving grandpas told me to stand in line properly, so I didn't get cut off or anything, and I had a delicious (expensive) meal.

Visitamos este bar la última vez en Venecia hace 15 años y esperábamos que todavía estuviera abierto. Inicialmente nos decepcionó ya que no podíamos encontrarlo ubicado frente a la Piazza San Marco, cuando al día siguiente nos acercamos desde una dirección diferente, pudimos ver andamios oscureciendo el letrero. Es un gran bar, que sirve aperitivos, helados y alcohol. Sin mesas, solo informal de pie en la barra, es genial, nos encanta. Increíble relación calidad-precio, en comparación con algunos de los otros establecimientos en la Plaza San Marco. El servicio es genial, una necesidad absoluta. Muy recomendable.
