23/02/2025: On Saturday 15 February, my wife and I, together with a couple of friends from Palermo, had dinner at "Ciccio in Pentola", located in the heart of the historic Kalsa neighborhood in Palermo. The restaurant offers a refined, welcoming and relaxed, but at the same time refined, atmosphere, ideal for enjoying delicious dishes in a comfortable and trendy environment.
We started with an appetizer of very fresh raw meat, excellently assorted and carefully presented. As a first course, the prawn pasta was amazing: the prawns were present both in the sauce and whole on the pasta, offering a rich and authentic flavour. To conclude, the decomposed cannoli with ricotta was the best I have ever tasted in Palermo.
The wine list is extensive and well selected, and the owner, Eugenio, gave us excellent advice on how to best pair our dishes. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The clientele present was made up of respectable people and international tourists, contributing to a pleasant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
In summary, “Ciccio in Pentola” represents an obligatory stop for those who want to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culinary tradition revisited with creativity, in an elegant and welcoming context. We can't wait to return to savor other delights on their menu.
