Balzer In Bergamo

Although it remains a nice place, the interior has a slightly dim light which makes the environment cold, I found the decor of the Balzer much more welcoming than before the renovation, furthermore the service could be improved, as could the thin cappuccino and tea comes in a few varieties. The brioches are good. Excessively high prices.

Beautiful place, discreet service, excellent coffee shop, terrible pastry shop.

We entered this bar for the first time this morning, the part being a good pastry shop, the part being a normal cafeteria without infamy without praise, the only thing I was sorry to see was that particular attention was not given to the period, given the proximity to the At Christmas I would have liked to see a biscuit, a sweet or a particular and cute little thing that would remind us of the holiday, even very simple cups. I admit that I am not a regular customer, however it happens that I stop in to get something to drink or snack. For example, last night, with friends, we sat in the outdoor area to have something hot. Right from the start, the girl who served us seemed grumpy and annoyed with us. Another girl also showed herself like this. While at the counter everyone was courteous and friendly, especially when we pointed out that they had forgotten an order. In fact they were kind and willing to make up for it (we were in a hurry and had to leave, otherwise they would have brought us the other tea at the table). An oversight can happen, especially when the place is full, as it was last night, but it would still be a good idea to pay a little more attention to the service (and manners). I think this bar has a lot to offer, in the end it's a nice place and it's located in a nice area. The menu is also rich and interesting. I confirm that the bathrooms are very dirty, but I imagine that this depends on the incivility of certain people (customers) and not on a lack of staff.

Personally, I took a chocolate with cream which did not satisfy me in the slightest, as well as having requested a shortbread with chocolate but which arrived with almonds. Spray cream and not thick chocolate

Had a late lunch here of salad with avocado, burrata, almonds, tomatoes and more. Excellent plate, good service & value for money in a beautiful location.

Bellissimo caffè nel centro di Bergamo. Locale storico che conserva intatta la freschezza del tempo. Un caffè o una bibita diventano un’occasione per entrare in questo bar veramente bello.
