Mixed opinions... but look closely: some naive people criticize the prices (and we're talking about 2 euros!) But no one criticizes the quality because the level is excellent. An aperitif served with a high-end prosecco, accompanied by appetizers like (truly made on the spot) Pizzetta Gnocchetti Plin Plpo ... Is there really anyone still comparing it to those who offer a glass of sangria (from the supermarket) with 4 olives and a rice salad for 7 euros???

I remember this place as it was 15 years ago, so I decided to return the other day for an aperitif. The place has changed a lot and, unfortunately, has lost the charm of the old Ballantain. The staff is average, but it lacks the elegance that once distinguished it. Inside, there was an unpleasant smell and a somewhat neglected atmosphere, so much so that we preferred to sit outside. The aperitif was pleasant, however: the food was good, and so was the wine. However, I don't think I'll return.

Good morning, I realize that this is not a place for everyone; some may find it a bit snobbish, but perhaps that's its beauty. You have to empathize with the manager, as he's always attentive and helpful. When I can, I stop by for a quick business lunch, but as soon as I have private time, I go to Bollicine a "Garganella" on the recommendation of Enzo, whose elegant personality is always ready to keep in touch with customers. However, when I need to unwind, I'm happy to pop in. Best regards.

02/01/2025: Non conoscevamo questo ristorante che si è rivelato una bella scoperta. Intanto una menzione al locale. Finalmente un posto ben tenuto, curato e arredato in uno stile adatto alla montagna (cosa purtroppo rara per troppi locali a Bardonecchia). Poi la gestione. Gestore e personale sono gentili e attenti alle esigenze e alle richieste dei clienti. Non ultima, naturalmente, la carta: - i piatti più tradizionali sono interessanti e ben realizzati - i piatti più conviviali - pierrade, raclette, … - sono una bella alternativa. Abbiamo provato la pierrade. Ben servita, buona, con salse giuste, patate lesse e verdure. Merita. - i dolci sono davvero ottimi In breve, un locale dove trascorrere una piacevole serata.
30/12/2024: leri pomeriggio ho chiamato per prenotare un tavolo per quattro per la sera ed ho avuto la fortuna di trovare ancora una disponibilità. H.20 arriviamo presso il ristorante che si presenta molto pulito, elegante e raffinato. Siamo molto indecisi sul da farsi: il menù propone tantissime bontà montanare; alla fine la nostra scelta ricade su un tagliere di salumi e formaggi da condividere prima di deliziarci con raclette e pierrade. Ottima carta dei vini per accompagnare il pasto! Tutto il personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio ad occhi chiusi e non vedo l'ora di tornarci!
