A central institution in Turin, from breakfast to dinner. A bit of everything, including kitsch. An '80s atmosphere and aperitifs featuring chips, slices of cheese and Milanese salami, pizza, and three homemade appetizers. Very good wine.

Mixed opinions... but look closely: some naive people criticize the prices (and we're talking about 2 euros!) But no one criticizes the quality because the level is excellent.
An aperitif served with a high-end prosecco, accompanied by appetizers like (truly made on the spot)

I remember this place as it was 15 years ago, so I decided to return the other day for an aperitif. The place has changed a lot and, unfortunately, has lost the charm of the old Ballantain. The staff is average, but it lacks the elegance that once distinguished it. Inside, there was an unpleasant smell and a somewhat neglected atmosphere, so much so that we preferred to sit outside. The aperitif was pleasant, however: the food was good, and so was the wine. However, I don't think I'll return.

Good morning, I realize that this is not a place for everyone; some may find it a bit snobbish, but perhaps that's its beauty. You have to empathize with the manager, as he's always attentive and helpful. When I can, I stop by for a quick business lunch, but as soon as I have private time, I go to Bollicine a "Garganella" on the recommendation of Enzo, whose elegant personality is always ready to keep in touch with customers. However, when I need to unwind, I'm happy to pop in. Best regards.
