The polenta at Baita Monte Gelas is always the best in Valle Gesso! Incredible value for money, highly recommended is the polenta menu with 5 toppings (ricotta, gorgonzola, rabbit, stew and sausage) for 22 euros. Renzo, the historic manager of the Baita (and adjoining GTA stopover refuge) sits at the tables and chats with the customers The girls who serve the tables during the summer season are also very kind. Understanding the needs and problems of some elderly customers with great availability and kindness even in times of great turnout in the month of August!

I stayed one night and took advantage of half board. The room is rather spartan, but still clean and quiet. Excellent dinner and breakfast, excellent service.
