The restaurant is organized with welcoming rooms and lit fireplaces: certainly an excellent business card, especially on cold days like today where the roads were frozen and you have to walk the last piece of icy road to reach it (we had to walk on the motorbike travel about 2 km from the cars for safety). Since the place is called "baita" we would have expected a more homemade and less restaurant-like menu. The starter consisting of cured meats and cheeses was a bit disappointing, as were the desserts even though they were homemade. The risotto was certainly good but nothing special. We would have expected lower prices. The friendly and professional staff. Overall nothing unforgettable, except the certainly suggestive location among the snow-capped mountains.

Nice rustic restaurant where you can eat mountain dishes with seating also outside. Very chaotic and crowded on summer weekends which I strongly advise against... Access to the road is reserved for residents only. Leave the car at 500m and then walk on a normal asphalt road. I recommend arriving a little early because the parking lot is small and fills up quickly. Or you can leave the car further down and go up via a pleasant path. The path to Monte Generoso also starts from here.
