Salmastro Ristorante In Viareggio

We went last night for dinner and found this place to have a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered our various questions about their culinary offerings, which turned out to be truly top-notch! The mussels were super flavorful, the tuna tartare was perfectly marinated, and didn't overpower the taste of the tuna itself. The grilled steak and sea bass were all cooked to perfection, something I haven't always found at other places. The price was right for the quality of the dishes we ordered. I can't attach photos because they were too good to waste time photographing! I can't help but recommend it; keep up the good work, guys!

Excellent dinner, quality ingredients perfectly cooked. Welcoming restaurant with sea views and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent for celiacs, as almost all dishes are gluten-free.

Food: Very good first courses (delicate spaghetti with clams, tasty and full of parsley those with shelled clams, tasty those with red rock) and, which is not a given in environments of this type, abundant. The idea of ​​the fixed menu first + second course is nice but unfortunately the fried food was not up to the level of the first courses (specifically: in some places a little dry and too much oil flavor). Service: The two people who served us were very courteous, attentive and helpful. Ambience: Tables facing the pool for this restaurant in the beach resort on the border between Viareggio and Lido di Camaiore. Bill: a little disappointment in realizing after leaving (when I looked at the photo I had taken of the menu visible outside the restaurant, I'm attaching it to this review) that when it came to the bill, the clam and clam starters had been increased by €1 (respectively €19 and €20 instead of €18 and €19 as written on the menu. Unfortunately, the Preconto receipt remained in the case where it was presented to me and which was returned with cash for payment). It didn't seem appropriate to return and have an argument about this, especially since the dining room staff had provided an excellent service but thinking back, it's not a good thing to put increases compared to what is written on the menu. Conclusions: after arriving, having noted the courtesy of the staff and having tasted the tasty and abundant first courses as well as the good Vermentino I had already sung victory and instead between the not excellent fried food (which I had already overlooked still enthusiastic about the first courses) and the dishonest move of the surcharge on the receipt (which unfortunately I only noticed afterwards) they left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Very nice place and really good food, we especially liked the paccheri and their homemade desserts. Kind and friendly staff, some of the waiters are very young so a little inexperienced but still we had a great experience. Recommended 👍🏼
