The quality and variety of the offerings are unquestionable, always top-notch; but the prices are increasingly high. Recently, an unpleasant development: the "small" cone, which is small for a small cone, but still costs €3, only comes with ONE FLAVOR: an (unpleasant) way to steer customers toward larger, more expensive sizes.
The quality of the cone's wafer is excellent, and it even comes with a scoop, which I appreciate.
The servers are quick, friendly, and smiling, while the cashiers (managers? I don't know) aren't exactly friendly.

A brioche of pure pleasure. The empty one shows you the high quality of the products used, along with the pastry chef's expertise. I haven't tasted such a good brioche in years. The place is spacious and has plenty of seating.

We had a hot chocolate at Badiani in Florence. Honestly, the place is magnificent. The atmosphere was wonderful. The chocolate was good, too.

Via dei Tosinghi, Historic Center, Florence
.
Espresso 1.40. Filled croissant 2.00.
Water requested: free, and in good quantity.
(I won't comment on the gelato because I have another personal favorite in the city).
---
The coffee was good. The orange-filled croissant—calling it filled would be overkill, and overpriced.
The service was acceptable (but a smile from behind the counter is increasingly rare: these are tough times for everyone, and we wake up in the morning already pissed off. It's understandable if even the bartenders mind their own business).
---
The location: an anonymous street in the historic center: you don't see any monuments, you could be anywhere because you just don't notice you're in Florence.
Inside, the "ask the staff" sign says "no entry." Almost a warning. However, there are a few benches where you can (eventually) catch your breath.
Yes, the coffee was good (which is not often the case in Florence), although you can often find it just as tasty with a view of the monuments for 1 Euro (but you have to be a 'local') a little further up.

Truly delicious gelato, with a wide variety of flavors, and a pastry section (I've never had anything there, but I imagine the quality is consistently high). The only downside is the high prices, but considering how renowned the gelato shop is, that's to be expected. Recommended for a unique experience.

BADIANI!!!
How can I express how great and immense my love for this gelateria is?!
The gelato is exceptional, of unmistakable quality, and the flavors are creative (let's not forget that Badiani won the Best Gelato Competition in 1979 with its Buontalenti, named in honor of the multifaceted architect Bernardo Buontalenti (who also remembers the zuccotto...) and inventor of modern gelato).
This rainbow of flavors offered by Badiani is unique: Buontalenti, Buontalenti with dark chocolate sauce and chips, Buontalenti with mint, Salted peanut, White Nights, Lactose-free Buontalenti, Buontalenti with pistachio, Ricotta and figs, Buontalenti with caramel, and of course, rice.
Of course, because when I go there, I always choose my absolute favorite gelato flavor: rice and another Badiani delicacy.
