A true gem in the heart of Venice! This Sicilian family-run bacaro is a wonderful discovery. You immediately feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere, like being at home. The cuisine is authentic, full of authentic flavors: the parmigiana was simply perfect, the cassata Siciliana a delight, and the dish of the day surprisingly good. You can taste all the love and passion they put into their preparations. Excellent value, courteous and smiling service, truly friendly and welcoming. The many drawings on the ceiling by children and customers who have passed by are striking; you can decide to make one yourself, leave it at the bar, and choose another in exchange to take home.
Highly recommended for those looking for a corner of Sicily in the heart of Venice!

Top notch food in Venice which I found was hard to find actually. Everything we ate here was 10 out of 10. The burata tuna dish was maybe the best thing I ate in Italy this visit.

The best place to eat in all of Venice is Sicilian! It was late at night, wandering the streets of Venice (approximately 9:30 p.m.), and we stumbled upon this corner, which captivated us with the warmth emanating from its surroundings. Upon entering, one of the staff members kindly informed us that it's home-style Sicilian food. If we were expecting a tourist spot with typical dishes, this wasn't the place. Given the passion with which he conveyed the origins of his dishes, we decided to see if every bite contained a sense of home, and I assure you, they delivered! Unfortunately, we only got to try the pastas (which are generous portions full of flavor. Don't miss the meatballs, which are heavenly, and don't miss Nonna's pasta, with a unique touch of basil that was intensely felt from the pesto). The flavors were so amazing that we wanted to try the sausage with potatoes, but they had already turned off their oven, so they offered us two options instead: roast beef with burrata, or dessert: tiramisu with coffee liqueur.
We decided to take advantage of the opportunity to try their tiramisu, and I must say it's the best we've ever tasted; the creaminess was excellent and it was at an ideal temperature.
As a tip, I recommend going earlier so you can try all their dishes and indulge in that feast of flavors in their entirety.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant this evening. We have been on tour in Italy for the last 10 days across Rome, Siena, Montepulciano, Florence and Venice trying out quite a few restaurants along the way, and this one stood out on top!❤️
The food was top notch and yet it had the soul of what one would expect from a family restaurant. We ordered the eggplant antipasti, spaghetti with spicy anchovies and grandmas meatballs (apologies for not getting the names correct) and we ended up wiping our plates clean.
The staff were extremely friendly and polite. This is especially important to me because, as a brown couple traveling across Italy, my wife and I have noticed a lot of establishments being rather cold and unwelcoming, but the staff here were delightful and probably made us feel welcome the most!
The decor with the kids’ sketches hanging off the ceiling is a very nice touch and we actually saw the owner engaging with a couple of the kids there and hanging their sketches while we were there.
The overall experience I had here almost makes me regret not having Sicily on my Italian circuit this time!
