Babae In Firenze

This was so fun running into an active wine window. I got to try orange wine for the first time which I will say I will not order again. But I wasn’t here for the taste, just the experience. The person handling the wines was very nice. You can take home the wine glass (which is plastic) for 5 euro if you want.

It's a very modern place, with the typical window overlooking the street where you can order wine. We had a great dinner. We ordered spaghetti with shrimp and pistachios, tacos, and pulled pork (Florencia style). We strayed a bit from the typical dishes, although they also had them on the menu. The homemade lemonades were delicious, especially the mango one. The waiters were very friendly.

Absolutely heavenly food at Babae. The sharers were great and had a real uniqueness to them. Carbonara ravioli was divine. Best meal I had in Florence. Wine window is also a plus - finished our meal, then sat outside for the Buchetta del Vino experience. Staff were incredibly friendly and gave some great recommendations. Thank you!

It’s a gorgeous instagram moment and a relaxing break from the main crowds. Have an Aperol spritz and relax, this wine window provides the perfect atmosphere for just that.

A wine window experience! Absolutely loved it! This was great, we had a glass of orange wine and a Aperol Spritz in really nice plastic glasses and enjoyed the ambience of the experience. The queue system wasn't very clear to me, so some path markings might help (it was busy and July) but also it didn't take more than 10mins to queue and get the drinks. Wine windows have made a comeback post COVID on Florence and I am absolutely here for it. The experience is unique and with a lovely climate it's really nice to enjoy an alfresco glass with a unique experience. They have a very good system for returning plastic glasses or you can pay a deposit and keep it.

Went to their wine window and you could buy their plastic wine glass to bring home. Strolling through Florence with a glass of vino rosso is pretty great!

Baebae me fue recomendado por un amigo, y rápidamente se convirtió en un punto culminante de mi tiempo viviendo en Florencia. Cada vez que visitaba, ordenaba el Carpaccio di Salmone Fresco Marinato — un carpaccio de salmón fresco marinado con crema de aguacate, tzatziki, pimienta rosa, soya y una ensalada verde — y nunca me decepcionó. El salmón estaba increíblemente fresco, y era el plato perfecto cuando necesitaba un descanso de la comida tradicional italiana. El ambiente del restaurante es acogedor e íntimo, con un ambiente tenuemente iluminado y acogedor que lo convierte en un gran lugar para disfrutar con amigos. Las bebidas eran excepcionales, y recomiendo encarecidamente el Hugo Spritz. La comida tenía un precio razonable, y normalmente gastaba alrededor de 20 euros por una comida y una bebida. Baebae también tiene una encantadora ventana de vino en el exterior, que a menudo tiene una línea, pero no dude en entrar y pedir una mesa - definitivamente vale la pena la visita!
