A pleasant place to relax on the river

We went for lunch on a Friday, and the location is certainly beautiful and characteristic, right on the Po River. The food is good, especially the varied and plentiful mixed antipasto and malfatti al ragù. However, I found two fairly significant flaws: the service was very slow, and most of the dishes were sold out. The bill was reasonable.

What can I say? A total of 10. Stunning location, excellent service, amazing food. It's addictive; if you go once, you'll have to come back!

On Monday, we had lunch at AvamPOsto, and the first thing that caught our attention was the location: a terrace directly overlooking the Po River, with a spectacular view. The kind of place where you sit down, a perfect breeze blows in, and for a moment, you forget about the traffic, the heat, and the chaos of the city. We chose the tasting menu and, naively, thought we'd leave satisfied. In reality, we were almost defeated: five generous courses plus dessert, and in the end, we even had to take one course away because it was physically impossible to finish it all. The service deserves a special mention: the staff are extremely kind, friendly, and always available, with that welcoming attitude that makes you feel immediately at ease. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, a wonderful view, and decidedly generous portions. If you're looking for a lunch break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you can eat well and enjoy the Po River in complete tranquility, this place is a must.
