Carmelo at the cashier was extremely kind and helpful. The rest stop was generally clean, with a wide variety of food options to suit everyone. All the employees were friendly.

La Locanda Cascina Porro di Giustenice

07/06/2026: I passed by Cascina Porro on my mountain bike; the refuge is located right at the end of the "Hiroshima mon amour" trail, a beautiful single track that starts from the Giustenice pass. The inn is gorgeous; I had a sandwich that was a real treat, with homemade bread, coppa, cheese, grilled vegetables, and homemade onion jam, washed down with a fantastic craft beer. The owners are kind and friendly; I took home a couple of jams (onion and pepper) and they let me try a slice of freshly baked crostata, which was also phenomenal. My only advice: offer slightly lighter beers. At the end of Hellboy (the next trail), I crawled into a bramble bush. I don't know if the 8.5° beer had anything to do with it...

01/08/2026: Very friendly staff, excellent value. Excellent pizza, and a very clean environment. Highly recommended.
29/07/2026: An experience definitely worth repeating. I had the double-meat Irish Cheeseburger, while my brother had a delicious Reale pizza, with a very unique yellow tomato sauce. The waitress, Vanessa, served us and pampered us. Excellent experience.
