Excellent. I fell in love with this restaurant just across the street and booked right away. The atmosphere is elegant and quiet, the food and service impeccable. As soon as I'm in Genoa again, I'll definitely be back.

One of the most welcoming, high-quality, and classy places I've ever seen in Genoa, and beyond. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive to his customers. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We went to eat at the Au Café restaurant, and the food, as always, was a guarantee: excellent dishes, top-notch flavors, no complaints... almost. The problem? Mr. Maurizio was missing. And without him, the dining room works, yes, but it loses a bit of its magic. It's a bit like a show without its star 🎭 The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, but with Maurizio, it's a whole different story: more smiles, more atmosphere, more "Au Café." We'll be back soon, but only to check that Maurizio is back in his place 😄 All in all, "Food 10, Maurizio 11" 😎🍷

This is a lovely place with great service. It has some wonderful vegetarian options, like savory mousse tarts, that are different from anything else we found in Genoa.

First restaurant of our Tuscan road trip. We received a very warm welcome, the food was truly delicious, and the atmosphere was very homey. The owner is very helpful, cheerful, attentive to your comfort, and responsive. We'll definitely be back when we return to Genoa. A great find! Aline and Dorothée (Alsace/Lorraine 😜)

This little restaurant was fantastic! We stumbled upon it on a side street off Via Garibaldi. It's completely 1960s-style: a step back in time, but that's what makes it charming and timeless. A very friendly and warm welcome from the owner, whose wife works in the kitchen. The two of them have been running this place together for 15 years. A simple yet delicious and honest menu, carefully prepared and served by the owner, who takes the time to chat, even with other guests. The stuffed sardines and grilled octopus: delicious! The price-quality ratio was excellent.

While walking around the old streets of Genoa we discovered a gem of a restaurant. It was small and had an intimate feeling about it so we made a booking. The interior was absolutely beautiful, elegant and decorated with amazing furnishings, memorabilia from days gone by and with extremely comfortable seating. We had a wonderful dinner, the food was beautifully presented and really delicious. Maurizio, the owner, made the evening one to remember, he was such a lovely man who was happy to chat with us throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Au Cafe to anyone who likes good food , fine dining and a great atmosphere. Thank you Maurizio for a great night. Andrew & Gisella.

Since 2010, whenever I've been in Genoa, it's been a regular stop. This elegant restaurant serves carefully prepared traditional dishes, with competent and very friendly service from the owner. I've never had the same kind of pasta with green beans and potatoes as I've eaten here!

26/10/2025: This review is for Zeus Sky Bar only as we didn’t eat at the restaurant. We arrived without a reservation about an hour before sunset (in June), and were seated straightaway. I’m not exaggerating when I say the view is absolutely breathtaking, even all the stunning photos shared here cannot do it justice- it has to be seen to be believed. We did the 20€pp aperitivo option, which included a signature cocktail and a selection of antipasti. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious. We stayed long after sunset and loved it so much that before leaving, we booked a table for our last night in Sestri Levante, a couple of days later! We fell in love with Sestri Levante on this holiday, and this rooftop bar really shows it off in all its glory.
17/10/2025: A pleasant and relaxing experience, with professional, polite, and always helpful waitstaff. I was particularly impressed by Mirko, a young, polite, and very helpful man. I will definitely return next year with my wife and son to sample the restaurant's specialties and enjoy the refined, warm atmosphere.

20/12/2025: I dined here on December 19, 2025, with my husband and daughter. I would summarize the restaurant like this: 1) high-end cuisine, with refined and sophisticated dishes that are satisfying to the palate; 2) a relaxed and modern atmosphere, yet intimate and welcoming; 3) attentive and professional staff, never intrusive, and above all, capable of making you feel at ease with their genuine kindness; 4) the wine pairing is also excellent, expertly curated by the sommelier.
08/12/2025: A superb restaurant with excellent cuisine, an exceptional wine list, and attentive staff. Pricey, but worth every penny. The evening was magical; we didn't regret it at all.
