Asfodelo In Sassari

A wonderful seafood lunch. Fantastic fried fish made with fresh fish (not farmed), which we have a hard time finding even in seaside locations. Superb hospitality, nothing more to add. We had a truly wonderful time, and they made me happy, even though I don't have any particular allergies, including gluten.

One of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. If you're in Sassari, I recommend trying them; they're large and tasty.

We had dinner at Asfodelo on a Friday and ordered the seafood fregola: absolutely delicious! The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the portions generous. The service was attentive, meticulous, and discreet. We ate outside given the warm evening and it was a truly delightful evening. Highly recommended!

Good food and good service. A great choice.

We went with a group of friends for a pizza round. We sat down and the pizzas started arriving. The pizzas were good, but nothing special; they weren't the kind that made me say, "I want to come back for pizza." After a while, they started clearing our plates and letting people finish the pizza round, so we realized the table was reserved for another round. Meanwhile, they brought us desserts. I asked for an extra straw to share a sorbet. It never arrived. The sorbet wasn't even cold; it tasted like lemon milk. After a while, they told us the table was reserved for another round, so our hunch was correct. No objection to doing more than one round, but at least would they be kind enough to tell us as soon as we arrived? That way we could organize ourselves and avoid being kicked out without warning.

Excellent lunch and a great impression on my host. I played it safe, knowing the place already. It was a seafood-based lunch, with well-seasoned dishes and carefully presented by the waiter. The off-menu appetizer, kindly offered by the owner, was also very much appreciated. The spaghetti with bottarga was simply DIVINE. Despite the sultry day, the dining room was cool, clean, and super organized. The extremely friendly staff stood out for their helpfulness, courtesy, and friendliness. Honorable mention for the grappa at the end, truly excellent, produced by the owner, who insisted on a second serving, which was impossible to refuse. I will definitely be back soon.

Welcoming atmosphere, top-notch pizza! Try the appetizers. I highly recommend it.

I've been there three times and every time I've had a great meal. They make excellent fregola di terra (a type of pasta), and I'd recommend trying the nervetti (veal nerves). The staff is very friendly. 😊
