My first Korean restaurant in Rome. Friendly owner and staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Food was... similar to nearby Gain.

When I was getting tired of Italian food, I visited Arirang Restaurant near my accommodation. I ordered soft tofu stew and bulgogi, and it was delicious. I recommend it when you're craving Korean food.

I'm not lying, I ate Osam Bulgogi and it's really better than Korean M-Chang. If you're craving Korean food while traveling in Rome, you really must come here. I'll probably eat here every day if you come.

Day 9 of my European trip.. I couldn't help but get sick of pasta and steak, so I came to a Korean restaurant. The portions were large and the price was cheap. If I had come yesterday, I would have come again today, but it's too bad. ㅠㅠ I feel better because the owner is Korean. ㅎㅎ I had a good meal!!

This is my go-to place when I crave Korean food while traveling. I had kimchi stew, stir-fried squid, and kimchi pancake. They were all delicious. I wish the male owner was a bit friendlier.

We were looking for a good Korean restaurant in Rome, and I have to say we were very pleased! All the dishes were delicious (especially the kimchi bokkumbap and jaeyuk bokkum) and incredibly flavorful. The service was fast and very friendly. They also brought banchan with some dishes. I highly recommend it! (Better to reserve because there aren't many seats.)

I recently returned to Korea after a solo trip to Italy between July 18th and 26th. I'm 100% Korean. In Rome, I visited three Korean restaurants (Gain, Seoul, and Arirang) and ordered one or two dishes from each. It's difficult to directly compare the flavors because I didn't eat the same dishes, but I ordered kimchi stew at Arirang, soft tofu stew and fried dumplings at Gain, and soft tofu stew and bulgogi at Seoul. Gain is on the first floor near a hotel, so I saw quite a few local Italians and travelers from other countries. The interior looked quite new, so it seemed to have a lot of reservations. The food, including the side dishes, was excellent. Like Arirang, Seoul is located in the basement, but the interior is quite spacious, so it didn't feel cramped at all. The interior was average, and the food was excellent. The cucumber side dish was especially delicious, so I wanted to ask for a refill, but I felt like I shouldn't do that, especially since I'm not in Korea, so I held back. However, when I ordered two dishes, they gave me two bowls of rice, so I returned one. Arirang Restaurant, like the Seoul restaurant, is located in the same direction as Termini Station, also on the basement level. Compared to the Seoul restaurant, the interior was a bit cramped, with fewer tables, and the interior felt a bit dated. However, the side dishes were so delicious that I ate every last bite. I also devoured the kimchi stew (though I didn't like pork fat, so I left some) without leaving a single drop of broth. For my taste (and perhaps because I'm a typical middle-aged Korean man in his 40s), the seasoning and flavoring of the side dishes were a bit stronger than other options, and had a more local flavor. Anyway, it was delicious. I consider all three of these places to be above average Korean restaurants abroad. The fact that they use ingredients that are difficult to find locally and produce such delicious dishes makes them truly gems for Korean travelers stopping by Rome. ^^

Even if you go to Italy and eat expensive pasta and pizza at a famous restaurant in Rome, you can't beat this place. You can order in Korean without worrying about what other people think, it's quick to cook, and you can pay quickly. If you want Italian food, go to the south. Rome is fast food. In Rome, just eat Korean food here. Pork and squid rice bowls are the best.

Bali Bar

12/09/2025: Quite and relaxed restaurant, with a choice of various south east Asian food and solid gluten free options
25/08/2025: Intimate atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle. I don't know where to start. The owner, Mrs. Kayoko, is very gracious, kind, and attentive to detail. The food is top-notch! If you want to try authentic Indonesian food, this is the place to go compared to all the other places in Rome.
