I must say first that I love arancini...I often buy them at various takeaways. The one I got from the Arancineria in Maglie with ragù and peas was practically tasteless. If it weren't for the crispy breading, I would have given it a 2. The baked one with ham and mozzarella is better.

Either to take away or to enjoy on site, a corner of Sicily in the heart of Salento. Truly a pleasant discovery that is worth trying. Professionalism and courtesy in a very welcoming environment and then the arancini triumph in every taste and for every taste. Don't forget the cannoli strictly made with sheep's ricotta. Excellent quality/price ratio. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

09/06/2025: Maddalena and her team are truly fantastic, they make you feel at home and the quality of the dishes is always excellent, with seasonal proposals and then what can I say about the location in the middle of nature, a corner of paradise outside the city ❤️
08/06/2025: I chose Gandula to organize a lunch with friends with about twenty people. Everything was perfect, I agreed in advance with Maddalena the menu and the various options available. The aperitif organized outside was excellent and then the entire menu inside on the veranda with a single table. Even though we were about twenty people and the restaurant was full, the entire lunch was carried out in a rhythmic manner and with the right breaks. Correct and balanced portions even for the most demanding palates. I recommend it and personally I will definitely return to Gandula for a lunch or dinner in the countryside. Well done Maddalena and compliments to the staff!!!!! 👏👏👏

14/07/2025: If you are in Salento, this is a place to try, excellent food, very welcoming staff and an enchanting rooftop
22/06/2025: Unique location on the highest tower in the town with a 360 degree view of Leuca, the sea is all around you. Other rooms are available on the lower floors. The wine list is quality, I recommend the Primitivo di Manduria ARCHEE. The menu also tells the story of the Apulian territory. Prices are higher than the average for the town, but fair. The extra charge for dining on the terrace is high, especially because I expected a more exclusive treatment, not "noisy" as there are screaming children. However, the waiters and dining room staff are good and helpful. Excellent quality of the food used, preparation and plating.
