Typical Roman tavern! Everything is delicious, generous portions, this is really still a real tavern!

What a discovery! On Sunday I had lunch at Grottino der Traslocatore with my family, and we were enchanted by this trattoria that perfectly embodies the genuine and welcoming spirit of Roman cuisine. We opted for two first courses divided between four, a perfect choice to taste more flavors without sacrificing the generosity of the portions (200g per dish). The dishes were simply delicious, prepared with quality ingredients and that homely touch that makes the difference. The meatballs, then, were appreciated by everyone: soft, with lots of sauce. They would have been perfect for my tastes with a little more salt. The environment is a real gem: rustic, intimate and familiar, with an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The management is family and this is perceived in every detail, from the friendly service to the passion they put into every dish. In short, if you are looking for a place to eat well, spend the right amount and feel pampered like at home, Grottino der Traslocatore is the perfect choice. We will be back soon, no doubt!

I have been to this little restaurant a couple of times with some of my friends and the experience was really pleasant. Excellent and plentiful food. Spectacular and super seasoned first courses. The "scarpetta" is a must! Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent quality/price ratio too. Recommended!

We discovered this typical Roman trattoria in the heart of Garbatella, the staff was quick in serving and friendly, especially the lady. We ate saltimbocca alla romana and tagliatelle with oxtail sauce, all excellent. Ah! An important detail, a whole portion of pasta is over two hundred grams, so I recommend a half portion to those who don't eat much, which is still plenty.

Nice typical place in a typical neighborhood, Garbatella. I made a mistake in ordering amatriciana instead of carbonara but I wasn't wrong because it was very good. Then I also got the carbonara consolation without asking for it, TOP, mouth-watering. Excellent tail and side dish. Prices in line with Excellent value for money

But let's get to the point, the main reason for my visit: the Carbonara. Let me tell you, it was a revelation! Every forkful was a riot of flavors: the enveloping creaminess, the crispy bacon that melted in your mouth and the pasta cooked to perfection, al dente as it should be. It is not easy to find a Carbonara so balanced and faithful to tradition, but here at "Ar Grottino" they have achieved perfection. It is a dish that alone is worth the trip to Garbatella. If you are looking for an authentic Roman culinary experience, where tradition marries quality and quantity "Ar Grottino der Traslocatore" is the unmissable destination.

Vecchia trattoria romana, in un contesto informale ma familiare. Sicuramente i prezzi non sono da trattoria ma era tutto buono. In zona Garbatella

Il locale è storico e non ha cambiato l'arredamento, perciò entrarci significa tornare piacevolmente indietro di qualche decennio nella Garbatella autentica. L'interno è piccolissimo e per questo si mangia letteralmente attaccati gli uni agli altri, senza libertà di movimento. Il servizio non è particolarmente veloce, ma i camerieri sono gentili e simpatici. Le porzioni sono abbondanti e tutto è molto condito. I prezzi non sono bassi, ma sono in linea con tutti gli altri locali della categoria, come allineato agli altri è ciò che si mangia
