An unpretentious bar, but a great place to stop for a break during a stroll along the beautiful Appian Way. Basic menu with salads or lasagna, etc., but high prices. Young and very friendly staff.

A small street café on the oldest road in the world, the Via Appia Antica. The coffee and Aperol were really delicious. The ice cream was great too.

Exorbitant prices for a bar. That would be tolerable in principle, but the repeated reminders that food is also available in the back of the café, even though we explicitly stated the first time that we only wanted a cappuccino and a bombolono outside the bar, are unbearable. I understand it's annoying when the weather isn't good on a Sunday and you've cooked too much. However, I can't pay such high prices out of pity, and I'm less likely to do so if I'm pressured into it. So, I'll gladly come again; the staff certainly mean well, but please take my advice, because the place itself is unbeatable.

06/02/2026: I've been staying here for about 3 years. Parking and valet parking. Showers €1 behind the hotel. Bar, tobacconist, phone top-ups. Dinner €18 with a truckers' menu. I eat really well. I recommend it. Top 👍💪
25/01/2026: I've been dining here for almost a week, on a business trip. The food is good, with adequate, almost generous portions (especially the cooked beef belly, which is delicious!) and more or less reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, but the only flaw is the rather long wait times and a bit of disorganization. By the time the main course is served, the side dishes have been ready for a while and always arrive cold.
