Siamo stati per l'ennesima volta a fare colazione ( e non solo, take away nel tardo pomeriggio con cartonate di sfogliatelle da portarci a Roma) nel mitico forno Attanasio. Le sfogliatelle sono strabuonissime, ricche calde, belle gonfie sia ricce che frolle, ottimi anche i taralli salati ( nonostante ci sia un pò troppo pepe).
Unico inconveniente ( si fa per dire) la lunga coda per aspettare il proprio turno. Simpatici e super veloci i ragazzi dietro al bancone, straconsigliatissimo perchè il forno ATTANASIO a Napoli è il NUMBER 1 !!!

Attanasio Sfogliatelle – Single location, Naples
If you are in Naples and want to taste the best Sfogliatelle in the city, Attanasio Sfogliatelle is a must. Located in Vico Ferrovia, just a two-minute walk from the Central Station, this historic pastry shop is famous for the quality and goodness of its puff pastries.
We stopped at Attanasio twice: on arrival to taste the freshly baked Sfogliatelle and on departure to take both the Sfogliatelle and a pastiera back to Rome. The freshness and flavor of these desserts are unparalleled. The Sfogliatelle, both curly and shortbread, are fragrant, crunchy and with a creamy and fragrant filling, made according to the Neapolitan tradition.
As expected, there is always a queue. Outside you can see at least 20-30 people waiting, but the organization is efficient: you take a number and wait your turn. The staff is fast and courteous, always ready to serve with a smile despite the large influx of customers.
As soon as you enter, you are struck by the splendid display of desserts, with farfalle, babà, lobster tails and pastiere. You can also see the oven where the Sfogliatelle are baked, a detail that adds charm to the experience.
If you visit Naples, I highly recommend stopping by Attanasio. The quality of the products and the authentic atmosphere make this pastry shop one of the best in the city. The queue may seem long, but the wait is amply rewarded by the extraordinary taste of their puff pastries.

I want to make a customer complaint: If I don’t eat the takeout right away, the packaging is so beautiful, do you want me to open my heart?
OK! All kidding aside, it’s hard to step on landmines in Naples, which means they are at least one level higher than other cities. For a non-sweet tooth like me, this can only be explained superficially.
The sweets in this store are indeed of a very high standard, not high-end and unreal, but down-to-earth. In addition to Sfogliatella, which is a must-try for ordinary consumers, I personally highly recommend Tarallo.
You can tell that this biscuit-like common food in southern Italy is made with only the simplest ingredients and is very healthy. I really envy the Neapolitans, who can easily enjoy such ordinary but not ordinary snacks.

Attanasio's Neapolitan Sfogliatella is the oldest in Naples, since since 1930, in an alley near the central station of Naples, curly and shortcrust pastry sheets have been baked starting from 6:00 in the morning.
When you come to Naples as a tourist, you know that it is a fixed stop, to try Attanasio's Sfogliatella, in the curly or shortcrust version, each more special than the other.
The absolute master of the house is the Sfogliatella.
Whether curly or shortcrust, the Sfogliatella for the Attanasios is one of the beauties that makes Naples famous throughout the world.
It is no coincidence that the famous writing stands out on the oven: "Napule, three tender and beautiful things... o' sea, o' Vesuvius and e' sfugliatelle".
